According to LoveLOParks, on 9/24 the LO City Council unanimously approved a resolution to acquire the Yates property which will result in the expansion of Hallinan Woods Park.

9/8/20 LU-19-0041 - LO City Council Hearing - A messy approval process 

 

This is the link to the whole hearing where Lake Forest NA appealed the decision by DRC which approved the construction of a large apartment complex by Shorenstein. Starting at about 4:04 through to about 4:12 you can hear what J. LaMotte and T. Kohlhoff said. Sadly, the final vote was 5 to 2 against the appeal.
